Jared Baldes serves as a Field Coordinator for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters – National Job Corps Training Fund (UBC-NJCTF) and a Career Connections Outreach Specialist. In his role, he provides oversight and support for eight Job Corps Centers encompassing thirteen carpentry training programs across six western states. He works closely with instructors, center leadership, UBC Local Unions, apprenticeship training centers, and industry partners to strengthen workforce development, improve student outcomes, and prepare the next generation of skilled carpenters and construction professionals for successful careers in the union construction industry.Every UBC-NJCTF Job Corps carpentry program across the nation utilizes the UBC's Career Connections curriculum, ensuring students graduate with industry-recognized Career Connections credentials that prepare them for apprenticeship and employment in the skilled trades. Jared supports the implementation of the curriculum by working directly with instructors and center leadership, promoting industry partnerships, and helping create pathways that connect students to registered apprenticeship opportunities.Prior to joining the UBC-NJCTF, Jared spent more than fifteen years in the energy sector, where he designed, constructed, and managed temporary oil and gas separation facilities throughout the Rocky Mountain region for both American and international companies. Before becoming a Field Coordinator, he served as a UBC Carpentry Instructor for Job Corps, giving him firsthand experience delivering the Career Connections curriculum he now supports. Jared is passionate about connecting education with industry and helping students build rewarding careers in the skilled trades.
